Have neglected to maintain this niche of the internet, but will announce recent and past news:
- Awarded a residency at the The Helene Wurlitzer Foundation of New Mexico in Taos, where I am living in my casita for the whole summer.
- Terrance Hayes chose my manuscript, Ghost Of, as the winner of Omnidawn's Open Book contest; it will be published in April 2018.
- Dismayed, humbled, shocked to be one of this year's “Discovery" / Boston Review Poetry Contest winners. Flew to NY last month with two favorite creatures: one canine, one man, to celebrate and ready amongst friends and strangers at the 92Y. You can relive that moment here:
- Awarded a scholar position at last summer's Tin House Summer Writers Workshop and worked with Gregory Pardlo; met amazing and strange humans both in the literary world and outside of it.
These days, months, and years have been very fortunate and blissful for me; I am so lucky, and I continue to work hard to deserve my lucky life.
