Awarded Summer Scholarship to Fine Arts Work Center, Provincetown! by Diana Khoi Nguyen

So thrilled to just learn that I was awarded the Archie D. and Bertha H. Walker Scholarship for the Fine Arts Work Center 2013 Summer Program. I'll be on the Cape this summer from July 28 - August 2 and working with Martha Rhodes in a course called, "Revising & Generating New Work."

The scholarship provides a studio apartment to me for the week and waived tuition for the course. I am very honored for this opportunity, and am super excited to look forward to some beach and poetry time!

Thank you, FAWC!

Finalist for PSA's Lucille Medwick Memorial Award by Diana Khoi Nguyen

Very honored to again be a finalist for a PSA award--even more honored to be a finalist with Bruce Bond!

And of course, congratulations are in order for Gary Young, who is the winner of this award--and to all the other PSA award winners and finalists! Never thought I'd be included in such great poet-company. You can read Gary's winning poem here. This award is for poems that deal with a humanitarian theme. Or as I like to say now, I'm closer to learning how to be human!

A celebration for the 103rd PSA awards will be held at the National Arts Club on April 5th at 7pm, with Robert Bly (!!) giving this year's annual Frost lecture. I'll be there, of course, in what is likely a snazzy dress.
