Always honored to be recognize--and I'm happy to be one of the two finalists for the PSA George Bogin Award this year--the winner Dean Rader was selected by judge (and favorite critic of mine) Stephen Burt.
Very honored to again be a finalist for a PSA award--even more honored to be a finalist with Bruce Bond!
And of course, congratulations are in order for Gary Young, who is the winner of this award--and to all the other PSA award winners and finalists! Never thought I'd be included in such great poet-company. You can read Gary's winning poem here. This award is for poems that deal with a humanitarian theme. Or as I like to say now, I'm closer to learning how to be human!
A celebration for the 103rd PSA awards will be held at the National Arts Club on April 5th at 7pm, with Robert Bly (!!) giving this year's annual Frost lecture. I'll be there, of course, in what is likely a snazzy dress.
